Notes

Nohmy Harrison is from Stratford in London. She is a fan of avant garde and likes the idea of putting live people on the plinth instead of those who have died. Whilst deciding what she would like to do on the plinth, she considered what she would like others to think about her. On the plinth she is going to read a selection of poems that remind her of her childhood and that make her laugh, she would like to talk to the audience and hopes that they will find the poems funny too. She believes that she lives a very privilidged life and so is carrying balloons that say "love life" and wants to spread that message to those who are listening since she wants to interact with people. Nohmy is a lay preacher in her church and is currently starting an art project as a photographic artist based around the people of Stratford. Before this she was a community worker and youth worker where she was involved in many outdoor activities such as mountain climbing and pot holing. Her current ambition is to have her art work displayed. Outside of work she focuses on her family, her religion and her politics. She has taken part in a number of art projects and performances in the past because she enjoys doing new and unique things.
