Description
Lectures on Experimental Philosophy. Incomplete notes, taken down by an anonymous student. The pagination is numbered from the end of the volume, hence p. 223 (verso of the first leaf) is actually the beginning of the text: the pagination is found in the extreme outer lower corner. The date 1772 occurs on p. 170, 'at this time'. Produced in Oxford.

Biographical note
This MS. has been assigned to B. Wheeler on internal evidence. He was M.A. at Trinity College, Oxford in 1758, and later a Fellow of Magdalen Hall. From 1766 to 1776 he was professor of poetry, Sedleian professor of natural philosophy 1767-1782, Regius professor of divinity from 1776-1782, and a canon of Christ Church.
