Hypersensitivity reaction to co-trimoxazole chemotherapy

Hypersensitivity reaction: erythema multiforme This is a drug rash affecting a woman with HIV infection. She has erythema multiforme associated with co-trimoxazole antimicrobial chemotherapy. The features of the rash include erythema, blistering, superficial ulceration and confluent lesions. Treatment with systemic corticosteroids induces healing with re-epithelialization.
