Rogat in gravi aegritudine D. Franciscus olim doctum fidibus canere f. Pacificum, ut, levando aliquantulum dolori fidibus Dei laudes decantet, disuadet ille patri bene accipienti timore offensae alioru(m) & illico Dei nutu praesens angelus unico plectri per fides ductu miris implet divi mentem gaudiis.... ; serenissimae Elisabethae utriusq. Bavariae ducissae dominae suae clementissimae Raphael Sadeler eius chalcographus D.D. ...; P. Piazza à Castro Franco pinxit cum privilegio summi Pontificis ac S.C. Maiestatis. A notice above the door to the cell (on the inside): "Silentiu(m)", meaning silence. A notice above Francis's bed says: "Quid retribuam D(omi)no pro omnibus quae retribuit mihi. Psa.", meaning, 'What shall I pay back to the Lord for all the things that he has given to me? Psalms.' Lettering continues before the dedication with six lines of verses in Latin: "Coepit, et extemplo genius chelii ludere cessat ... Maior apud superos unica gutta mari."
