The Rev. Dr William Davies, Rector of Eastington and Vicar of Arlingham (both parishes near Stroud, Gloucestershire), brother-in-law of Edward Jenner. Some of the letters represent: a painter working at an easel, two men drinking under a tree, a man hunting with his dog, a man and a woman dancing, a man fishing
