About this work
Description
Written by the same hand throughout. There is no indication of the writer's identity, but he was evidently a medical student who flourished in the second half of the eighteenth century.
The work usually spoken of as "Monro's Osteology" is entitled The Anatomy of the Human Bones. To which are added an Anatomical Treatise of the Nerves, an Account of the Reciprocal Motions of the Heart and an Account of the Human Lacteal Sac and Duct. The first edition appeared in 1726 and was followed by many later editions.
The present commentary was written after 1750, as works bearing that date are cited.
