Description

Glossary of terms compiled from Eighteenth century English cookery-books. An alphabetical list, with dates of the books in which they are found. With an unfinished draft A-F only (16 ff.). Author's holograph MSS. Ff. 63-72 contains the names of the joints and parts of animals, etc. used in cookery in a separate alphabet. The two unfoliated leaves give a list of the books from which the words were extracted, all except one are said to be in the compiler's collection.
