Notes

Gill Jackson is from Salisbury in Wiltshire. She is taking part because she likes supporting arts events and likes what the project is doing for London. She is going to communicate with her friends, particularly her brother and family in New York, and take a long silent view of London, and wave at her supporters. She likes to be an exhibitionist from time to time. She is wearing a Venetian mask because she admires the culture and history of the city, it allows her to look out without being looked at. She may also wear a hat bought for her in France. She loves the Venice carnival because it has mystery and combines opulence and poverty, and because it involves wearing a mask. She is doing the project for herself. Travel and family are important to her. She describes herself as loyal, kind, she can be mischievous. She has played flute in an orchestra and sung in choirs but not alone.
