These notes were probably compiled for Ogle's Paper in 'The Lancet' 1859: i, pp. 156-158, 'On a case in which the operation of castration was resorted for the cure of epilepsy'. This operation is referred to in the first letter.

Purchased 1931.

The author obtained his M.D. at Oxford in 1857 having been elected F.R.C.P. in 1855. He was Physician to St. George's Hospital 1866-76, where he founded the 'St. George's Hospital Reports' in 1866 [see the Dictionary of National Biography].
