About this work
Description
An artwork by Physical Illness Patient 8 - "Henri" which shows a landscapewith areas depicted by different shades of green and a vast blue sky. Rita Simon said: "I asked the old ladies to draw certain things, like kings, landscapes, etc. She produced this coherent landscape; it took several weeks. The recollection of landscape directed their minds outside the hospital."
The quote is taken from notes made between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff, 1995-1997.
The title has been taken from lettering on the recto of the artwork.
Rita Simon classified the artwork as Massive Transition. She marked it as number 7 in the sequence on the verso.
