Description
Highlights of the Culture, Health and the Arts (CHARTS) world symposium held at Manchester Metropolitan University, 13-16 April, 1999.
The aim of the conference was to explore the central role that culture plays in the health of the community, the family and the individual whilst also providing an insight into how the arts and design have a special part to play in health and healing. The key themes were health, the environment, society and the human spirit.
