Notes

Abigail Jackson comes from Northern Ireland. She is raising awareness of wildlife protection. Her father was a botanist and was a great influence in her life; he died a few years ago. She went back to university at 27 years old to make a difference as wildlife is particularly important. She works for Ulster Wildlife Trust in nature conservation - her job is in education within this field. On the plinth she is dressing up as a giant butterfly and dancing to various wildlife themed songs and will be bringing a pair of wings, a big banner saying "Nurture Nature", a CD player and some small sunflowers. She will be conveying a serious message but in a comical way.
