Biographical note
Robert Bird (fl. 1840), of Taplow Hill. His son Robert (1788-1854), was in the civil service, Allahabad, Bengal, and produced an important report to settle the land revenue of the NW provinces in 1842. He was in India from 1802 till 1842.
