[Cours de chirurgie par demandes et réponses.] Inside the cover 'Ex libris Anis Daugny compagnon chirurgien demeurant chez monsieur Desprez maître chirurgien' and below by another hand 'Ce livre apartient [sic] a moi François daugny...' On p. 1, in the margin: 'Pour daugny chirurgien a Montpellier 1652 Pour amiel chirurgien á Montpellier 1652'. Written inside the lower cover: 'Daugny chirurgien á Paris'. Produced in Montpellier.

1 volume 214 pp. 4to. 191/2 x 141/2 cm. Original limp vellum binding, leather ties wanting. Many leaves stained and frayed at the margins. Three leaves have been cut out before p. 1. Signatures of Daugny and Amiel are found inside the covers, and on various pages of the text.

Purchased 1928.

It is possible that the MS. was the joint possession or work of these two surgeons. Amiel seems to have practised later at Pézenas in 1653, as is shown by inscriptions on p. 33 and p. 105.
