About this work

Description

Low plant with palmate toothed green leaves and single unripe fruit. A plant genus of the family ranunculaceae, members of which contain berberine, an alkaloid which is relatively toxic parenterally, but has been used orally for various parasitic and fungal infections and as antidiarrhoeal.
