About this work

Description

This mausoluem appears to have been the source of the design for "A Villa in the Eastern Style" published in 1805 by Robert Lugar. Archer op. cit.

Thomas Daniell had been told that this was the tomb of Parviz, the brother of Prince Khusrau, after whom the Khusrau Bagh is named. That is now [1996] thought unlikely, but its identification is still uncertain. Archer op. cit.
