Description

Collection of miscellaneous French letters and documents, mainly from and to medical men, 1915-1930.

A number of the letters appear to have been written to Professor Maurice Éléonor Joseph Lucien Letulle (1853-1929), pathological anatomist.

Acquisition note

Most of the documents were purchased in Paris, mainly from the dealers Charavay and Degrange, between December 1927 and c.1932 (accs. 56146, 63453, 63700, 67372, 63925, 64689, 67374, 69292). One document was presented by CH Boulangé in January 1928 (acc.67389). Another was bought at Sotheby's sale, 13-14 November 1933, lot 205 (acc.67469). Two letters have no recorded provenance.
