Description

Identical twin brothers Ira and Joel Herskowitz, on guitar and piano respectively, sing songs on the theme of the double helix structure of DNA. On the tape, Joel and Ira perform the same song with the same genes but different styles. Joel Herskowitz is a pediatric neurologist who originally wrote 'Double Talking Helix Blues' for his father, geneticist Irwin H. Herskowitz, Professor Emeritus of Biology at Hunter College. Ira Herskowitz is a professor in Biochemistry and Biophysics.
