About this work

Description

Woodblock illustration from a work on 'Chinese' medicine by the 18th century Japanese physician Hara Masakatsu, published in 1807 (4th year of the Bunkwa era). The acu-moxa locations on the three channels running through the side of the torso (the foot taiyin channel, the foot jueyin channel and the foot shaoyang channel) are marked and labelled on a partial outline drawing of the torso.
