Description

A collection of French apothecaries' accounts, typically itemising medicines supplied to patients, with the appropriate fees, but including one deed of credit regarding the sale of a horse by Guillaume Seris, 'marchant et maistre apotiquere' of Toulouse, signed by the buyer, Francoys de Forquenauls and his witnesses, 1 October 1586 (no. 2).

Acquisition note

All the documents were purchased in Paris between April 1933 and January 1936 from the dealers Degrange (acc.66039A) and Charavay (accs. 66364, 67097, 67098 and 69286). Those documents which do not bear accession numbers formed part of accession 66039A.
