Description

In quartam Fen [Avicennae] de feribus. 1563. Novemb. 9. (ff. 1-16.) [Anon.] De febribus. (ff. 17-120.) Corti (N.) Super Avicennae Fen quartam de febribus. 1564. (ff. 121-224.) Lectiones de febribus, 1564. (ff. 225-233.) The first and last items are by the same hand (of Bellacatus?), the other two by another contemporary hand. On the cover the title of the third work is given as `Nicolini de febribus'. Nicolinus' was a nick-name given to Nicolo Corti [ -1576] on account of his short stature. In this MS, the name of the Author of the first work is given as Bellicatus. Produced in Padua?

1 volume 239 ff. (last bl.). 4to. 221/2 x 16cm. Modern rebinding in a cover from a 14th cent. Psalter on vellum, with large decorated initial. The upper past of fol. 226 has been cut off and wrongly bound in front of fol. 63.
