About this work

Description

Arranged alphabetically by person rather than Branch (of the Society), organisation, or sanitary authority. The majority of letters are of a routine nature, relating to preparation and proofing of the journal. However, it also includes some letters concerning Society business, containing opinions on articles and references to contemporary public health issues including court cases and the status of MOHs, as well as a selection of letters about advertisements, advertorials, samples and equipment for review. It also includes a few letters from Messrs Collingridge concerning the change in contract and publisher, 1898 (see J.3/101, 'C').
