About this work

Description

The first in a three-part series looking at how frequently self-infliected teenage health issues stretch NHS resources thus jeapordising the treatment of other genuinely ill patients. This part looks at some of the teenage casualties of alcohol who freqent Accident and Emergency departments on weekend evenings. Senior A&E consultant Naomi Cuthbert speaks frankly about how dealing with drunk teenagers lowers the moral and patience of even the best A&E staff. We follow a number of tragic cases and gain a general insight into the problems associated with alcohol-fueled teen behaviour. The further two parts cover teenage pregnancy and teenage obesity.
