Letters from Robert Blair (d. 1828), MD, Professor of Practical Astronomy at Edinburgh, and First Commissioner of the Sick and Hurt Board, and one letter relating to Blair from Gilbert Blane, MD, a Commissioner of the Sick and Hurt Board.
The letters concern the chair of astronomy at Edinburgh, proposals by Blair for an improved system of telegraphy, his relations with the Sick and Hurt Board, and his work in designing opera glasses and other optical instruments.
