Correspondence and papers regarding fly stocks and updates to the "red book", including entries sent by Ashburner. The file also includes drosophila mutant data and related correspondence. The red book refers to two publications: the "old" red book entitled "Genetic variations of Drosophila melanogaster" by D.L. Lindsley and E.H. Grell (1968) and the "new" red book, a revised version entitled "The Genome of Drosophila melanogaster" by D. L. Lindsley and G. G. Zimm (1992). The data was included in FlyBase.
