Description

  • Three letters dated November - December 1949 between Hans Kalmus and Haldane regarding plant species. Note that Kalmus' first letter is addressed to Helen Spurway but appears to have been answered by Haldane.
  • Postcard postmarked 20 March 1950 from Kalmus to Haldane and Spurway showing a picture of Yale University.
  • Three letters dated July 1951 between Kalmus and Haldane regarding Haldane's comments on a paper by Kalmus and Harris.
  • Copy of a letter from Haldane to Kalmus dated 26 May 1953 in which Haldane criticises Kalmus' manuscript book and advises him to pursue a career in experimental biology rather than human genetics.
