Contains letters between the British Council and J B S Haldane dated July 1951 - August 1951 regarding the possible placement of H Briones Monsalves, a candidate for a British Council bursary, in Haldane's laboratory; and letters dated April 1952 regarding the possibility of a short-term placement until September at UCL to undertake genetical research, following his placements in Edinburgh and Cambridge. Encloses Briones' completed application form for the British Council Bursary Scheme and curriculum vitae.


Includes 2 notes from Haldane's secretary to Haldane regarding expenses and an interview with Briones, and a note showing an exchange between Haldane's secretary and H Grüneberg about accommodating Briones.
