Augustin Roux [1726-1776] was professor of chemistry at the Faculté de Médecine at Paris. Guillaume Françoise Rouelle [1703-1770] was Démonstrateur de Chimie at the Jardin de Roi, Paris. Jean Darcet [1725-1801] was professor of chemistry at the Collège de France.
