About this work

Description

Illustrated advertisement for Wilcox's services, newly relocated to Newgate Street, London. Times are given for men and for women, at a charge of 2/6d and he was always available to cup either at his premises or the patient's. This is maybe a printer's proof for a card. It features a small woodcut of the head and shoulders of a Turkish gentleman, drapes and a sign behind him saying 1702 - possibly the date of publication or when Wilcox started there, making this 1722.
