About this work

Description

Papers relating to an art exhibition held by The Red Wedge, "Stop Clause 28". The aim of the exhibition was to challenge the proposed Clause 28 of the Local Government Bill (which was enacted May 1988), which would restrict lesbian and gay artists from exhibiting their works legally in local government funded venues.

Includes the exhibition proposal and other planning documents, as well as a copy of an exhibition guide for The Red Wedge's "True Colours" exhibition.
