Osborn, Samuel (1814-1869), FRCS

'Bronchitis' [Medical Society of London Fothergillian Prize Essay, 1840], by Quo sursum velo videre [Samuel Osborn]. Osborn won the Gold Medal for this essay. On p.i are pencilled six names [of the examiners]. Another hand has added 'Fothergilian [sic] Essay on Bronchitis by the late Dr S Osborn', and 'Presented to the [BMA] Library by S Osborn Esq.' [Samuel Osborn junior (1848-1936), FRCS].
