Description
In April 1907 R.B. Haldane, as War Secretary, introduced the Territorial and Reserve Forces Bill under which British military reserves were reorganized: the Volunteer Force (civilian army) and the Yeomanry (volunteer cavalry) were combined to form the Territorial Force, subsequently called the Territorial Army, while the Militia was transformed into the Special Reserve
