Biographical note
The FPA financed Grapevine Project ran from 1973 up until March 1981 when the FPA withdrew funding. Thereafter the project continued under the name of 'New Grapevine' based in the same premises, whose ownership was transferred to the mental health charity, Mind.
Grapevine was a community sex education project, based in Islington. Its concern was with maintaining effective ways of making health and sex education available and acceptable to those young people who would not otherwise seek information or advice from established agencies.
