About this work

Description

There were over 100 branches of the NCCVD/BSHC in England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and the Empire. The London and Home Counties Branch was reconstituted in 1922 as a Committee of the Council (rather than an autonomous branch), which probably accounts for the survival of these records. London was presumably considered to have particular problems and issues of concern around VD prevention and control and social hygiene.
