Biographical note
Elena Elizabeth, daughter of William Rathbone VII, married Bruce Richmond, editor of the Times Literary Supplement, who was knighted in 1935. She was Honorary Secretary of the Institute between the wars, and remained a member of Council until 1963. She died on 7 October 1964
