Biographical note

The Vasectomy Advancement Society of Great Britain was formed in early 1972 as a direct result of increased interest in vasectomy. Their aims were to provide training in vasectomy counselling and techniques for any practising doctors, to promote and co-ordinate medical and statistical research in this field, and to take the lead in furthering vasectomy as an integral part of comprehensive birth control which is provided by family doctors.
