Description

Various documents (statements, memoranda, notes, receipts) concerning events of April 1912, including the receipt from the Post Office of the (fabricated) Burroughs Wellcome & Co envelope containing two letters in German and two bank notes. The file includes the personal card of Inspector Edward Parker, Criminal Investigation Department, New Scotland Yard. Also, the record of a visit made by Dr Graves to the Exhibition Room in Wigmore Street (14 February, 1912), at which time he requested a Burroughs Wellcome & Co Diary.

In addition, correspondence (1930) referring to The Secrets of The German War Office by Dr Armgaard Karl Graves (1914), a copy of which was held by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. "I observe there is a book mark slip in the book in Dr Wellcome's writing indicating Dr Wellcome's desire that Mr C J S Thompson should get another copy of the work." (Memorandum from A E Warden, 13 November, 1930).
