Description
The last, in a four part series which looks at the role that animals play in a variety of medical treatments. Amongst the various cases, are animals that seem to have the ability to know how to find their own medicines. Dogs who can s̀niff-out' malignant tissue on their owners skin. Dr John Church, Founder of the Bio-Therapy Society, hopes to train dogs to s̀niff-out' tuberculosis in refugee camps. And Sue Haines, from Support Dogs, Inc., in Ohio, US, introduces a patient suffering from epileptic fits, whose dogs can recognize the early signs of a fit, and warn its owner.
