Notes

Katie Lewis is from Kettering in Northamptonshire. She is doing an art course at university and is interested in public art. She has brought her camera and is going to think about her thoughts and feelings as well as those of people around her. She has also brought a book because she loves to read. She is nervous and hopes noone shouts at her; she is also worried about her own reaction. She describes herself as easygoing and open to new experiences. She is doing the project for herself and hopes her feelings on the plinth will translate into artistic work of her own. She is interested in the power of words so would probably include text in her work. She is not putting on a show hopes people will see her as she is. Her career is important and family are put above everything else. She would like to travel and have freedom to do her work. She sees being on the plinth as a peaceful time to reflect. She is surprised that so many people who are not artists or interested in art have applied to the project. She hopes the project will make people more open minded about art and in general.
