Description

Meghanāda was the son of Rāvana, when his father went into battle with Indra's forces in Swarga, Meghanāda accompained him and fought valiantly. Meghanāda obtained the magical power of invisiblity from Shiva and used this to carry Indra off to Lankā. The gods aided by Brahmā went to secure Indra's release and gave Meghanāda the name Indrajit, 'conqueror of Indra'
