See also, memorandum (15 December, 1944) from Frank Hartley, TRC Secretary, with attached draft statement: "At the last meeting of the Board (see Min.406), I was instructed to prepare and circulate for comment a draft statement suitable for submission to the press, defending the position of the TRC in the controversy on Penicillin manufacture, embodying the public announcement from Sir Henry Dale that there was no monopoly in the manufacture of Penicillin, and criticising as vigorously as seemed necessary the Ministry of Supply and the Government for the present insuifficiency of British manufactured Penicillin."

File also includes several cuttings (all 2 May, 1945) on the death of Adolph Hitler.
