Certificate issued (in this instance) in 1930 to H. Goodwin. It is printed in 2 shades of blue and the text is surrounded by a series of six vignettes showing: trophies and cups, ships on the sea, a rowing boat approaching a person in a bizarre cap and goggles, a child being saved from drowning in a canal lock, men in a swimming baths, women in a swimming baths and the Manchester city coat of arms inside a lifebelt.
