Notes

Emma Ross, lives in London and is a science researcher at UCL. Her undergraduate studies were at Aberystwyth and she completed a Msc at Exeter University. She is a running enthusiast and has run 3 half marathons and 1 whole marathon in the past year. She takes part in British Military Fitness classes and also volunteers at the Globe Theatre. While on the plinth she will be playing Charades and 'Give Us a Clue' with the spectators. She will give the winner's glow sticks as prizes. She has chosen glow sticks because it provides an opportunity to talk about 'Relay for Life' which is an event organised by Cancer Research UK . The sticks are used to serve as a reminder for those who have died of cancer. She feels that it is very important to make the most out of life's various opportunities which is why her friends and family are very important to her and why she has volunteered to take part in the project.
