Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Real photo postcard, hand signed in ink by the character actor Ernest Lottinga. It is hard to imagine the reason for this character in full army battledress is wearing heavy make-up. One may surmise that the production from which it is taken must have plot involving participants in a concert party performance suddenly being called into action without having time to remove their 'slap'."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
