Liver: miliary tuberculosis

Miliary tuberculosis This is an abdominal cavity at postmortem. Note that the liver is greatly enlarged and studded with small white lesions. These are miliary tuberculous granulomas. The patient was HIV-1 positive. See images W0043123 and W0043124 for the liver histopathology in this patient.
