Notes

Clare Baldock is from Handcross near Gatwick. She is a fan of Gormley and finds his work very human. She is going to honour the people who went to the moon while on the plinth. Her friends and family are most important to her but this week is the fortieth anniversary of the moon landing. She is wearing a silver spacesuit, boots, gloves, a helmet and a NASA backpack. Space interests her because it makes her realise how amazing life is, and as a child her father had a telescope. Space travel inspires her. She works as a geophysicist. Her work and colleagues are important to her, as are art, reading, gardening, travel and food are important to her. She is quite easygoing and likes talking to people. She hopes to make a few people smile.
