About this work

Description

This shows several asymptomatic hypopigmented patches on a girl's face. The symmetrical distribution and the integrity of the eyelashes and eyebrows support the clinical diagnosis of vitiligo. A possible other diagnosis for such a presenting sign is post kala azar dermal leishmaniasis (PKDL). Although PKDL can induce pigmentary abnormalities, the absence of previous disease and the healthy status of the patient suggest that it is not the diagnosis in this case.
