Description

Book of ceremonial magic for the invocation of spirits. Written mainly in several varieties of the cyphers given in Francis Barrett's 'Magus', 1801, Book II facing p. 64, wherein it is stated that these are extracted from the Grimoire (falsely) ascribed to Pope Honorius III.

1 volume 40 ll. + 4 bl. ll. 8vo. 19 1/2 × 12 cm. On vellum. Morocco gilt binding, rubbed: stamped with the sigils of angels and their names, on both covers. Some leaves are wanting.
