The print shows Livingstone's means of transport, arriving at Quelimane from Cape Town on 20 May 1856, but as Frederick Moir was in Africa between 1877 and 1891 (Oxford dictionary of national biography), the person portrayed cannot be based on a photograph of Livingstone
