Description

An induction video for staff. The video contextualises the Wellcome Foundation's sales globally. There is a brief history of the company including information about William Burroughs and Henry Wellcome. The video outlines the significant breakthroughs the organisation have made in the production of a diphtheria vaccine and the mass production of insulin. The relationship to the Wellcome Trust is explained. Wellcome's profitability and productivity is mentioned. Scenes in the research centres in the UK and the US are shown. Footage of production and packaging lines are included. There is a list of the different branded drugs produced by Wellcome. The environmental centre is shown. The mission statement for the organisation is included onscreen at the end.
